Going Green

E.B.G. Collision felt it was time for our business to take the opportunity to strengthen the role we play in moving the green initiative forward. We truly believe it is a shared responsibility to improve the environment for our community, our customers, our children, our grandchildren and our employees.

Our first step was to start using Waterborne Basecoat, the industry’s lowest VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds or Smog and Pollution) product on the market today for our refinishing needs. What does that mean to our environment? Well, for every gallon of basecoat we use, we are saving 300 lbs of VOC’s. This is equivalent to taking more than 1,000 vehicles off of the road annually. At the same time, it allows us to reduce any hazardous waste by over 50%.

Along with our paint, we have updated our lighting and changed our policies to reduce our carbon footprint by reducing our energy cost, reducing our paper product usage and increasing our recycling of plastics, paper and metals. This is an ongoing improvement process with the ultimate goal of leaving our world better than we found it.
